Guest Service Associate – Front Office

About the role

The Guest Service Associate works at the front desk of a Marriott hotel in Bengaluru, handling guest arrivals, departures and day‑to‑day service requests. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest check‑ins, check‑outs, room assignments and late‑checkout requests.
• Secure payments, issue and re‑issue room keys, and verify billing accuracy.
• Communicate room availability to guests and coordinate with housekeeping.
• Answer telephone calls, record guest requests, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Arrange transportation, provide local information and handle guest inquiries.
• Count and secure cash at the start and end of each shift, process all payment types and report any security concerns.
• Maintain accurate records in the computer reservation system and run daily reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior hospitality experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Professional appearance, strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for reservation and billing systems.
• Telephone switchboard operation.
• Cash handling and credit‑card authorization.
