Grid Integration Head – PMO

About the role

AECOM is seeking a senior leader to head the Grid Integration PMO for large‑scale renewable and hybrid energy programs in India. The role bridges engineering, program management, customer interaction and digital transformation to ensure seamless integration of solar, wind, storage and conventional generation with high‑voltage transmission networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead grid integration strategy across solar, wind, BESS, PSP and hybrid energy systems.
• Interface with utilities, grid operators, regulators and internal leadership for grid compliance.
• Lead advanced power system studies and develop simulation models using PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, DIgSILENT and EMTP.
• Drive grid modernization initiatives including WAMS deployment and PMU integration.
• Lead grid code compliance strategy and support acceptance testing and certification.
• Oversee digitalization initiatives, integrating simulation outputs into PMO dashboards and applying analytics/AI for predictive performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 15+ years experience in grid integration, power system studies and renewable energy projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering.
• Proven experience with EHV/UHV transmission, substations up to 765 kV and integration of solar, wind and storage.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

• Power system modeling and simulation (PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, DIgSILENT, EMTP).
• Grid code compliance and plant control systems.
• WAMS, PMU and advanced grid monitoring technologies.
• Digital platforms, analytics and integrated PMO systems.
• Techno‑commercial evaluation and financial modeling (IRR, LCOE).
