GM – Financial Controller (Manufacturing)

About the role

The client, an Indian multinational manufacturing company, is seeking a senior finance professional to lead its financial control function at the General Manager level. The role will oversee both standalone and consolidated reporting, ensuring compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate standalone and consolidated financial statements in line with Ind AS and IFRS, meeting monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines.
• Manage consolidation of multiple domestic and international entities, handling inter‑company reconciliations, eliminations and group reporting timelines.
• Ensure statutory compliance, internal controls and governance; coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Provide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, supporting business heads on cost optimisation and profitability.
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity planning and working‑capital optimisation, including receivables, payables and inventory management.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance and accounts team while collaborating with operations, procurement and supply‑chain functions.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Strong expertise in Ind AS and IFRS, particularly financial consolidation.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
