Global Corporate Controller - Pulses Vertical

About the role

The Global Corporate Controller will lead finance operations for the Pulses vertical across multiple countries, ensuring accurate consolidation, compliance and strategic financial guidance. This senior position reports to senior leadership and works closely with business units, treasury and tax teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation of financial statements for all Pulses entities worldwide, ensuring IFRS and local compliance.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminate intercompany transactions for group reporting.
• Lead preparation and coordination of global external and internal audits, acting as primary liaison with auditors.
• Implement internal controls and compliance policies to achieve clean audit opinions.
• Direct Canadian corporate tax compliance, including T2 filings, GST/HST and transfer pricing documentation.
• Coordinate international tax filings with advisors in India, Australia, Bangladesh, Africa and UAE.
• Identify tax efficiency opportunities and manage cross‑border tax structures.
• Mentor regional finance managers/controllers, establish global accounting policies and support M&A integration, re‑domiciliation and ERP optimization projects.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant with 10‑15 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a Controller or Group Consolidation role within a multinational environment.
• Strong audit background and deep expertise in IFRS, Canadian corporate tax and multi‑currency consolidations.
• Proven experience managing audits across multiple jurisdictions and knowledge of transfer pricing and foreign affiliate reporting (T1134).
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for global stakeholder interaction.
