About the role

3M is seeking a Global Category Procurement Operations Senior Specialist to support its worldwide category procurement teams. This senior position will drive sourcing activities, manage supplier interactions, and ensure compliance across end‑to‑end procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support global category procurement teams with sourcing, supplier communication, and stakeholder requests.
• Conduct routine and tail‑spend supplier negotiations; lead broader pricing and terms negotiations at advanced levels.
• Maintain compliance with procurement controls, including bank verification and fraud‑prevention requirements.
• Develop negotiation strategies to achieve cost‑saving and service‑quality goals.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities to boost procurement performance.
• Mentor junior team members and lead or support assigned projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong analytical capability and customer‑service orientation.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a global, cross‑functional environment.
