Global Assistant Controller

About the role

Umicore is seeking a Global Assistant Controller to support its automotive catalysts and advanced materials operations. You will work closely with plant finance teams to ensure accurate cost management, reporting, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support plant controlling activities, including cost analysis, inventory management, and variance analysis.
• Assist in monthly closing, financial reporting, and performance tracking.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Drive process standardization, documentation, and automation initiatives.
• Support working capital optimization and profitability analysis.
• Assist in precious‑metal controlling and special financial projects.

Required profile

• Strong finance background with manufacturing controlling experience.
• Expertise in cost analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in SAP and data‑analytics tools (Power BI preferred).
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
