General Purpose Technician

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented General Purpose Technician to join our team in Visakhapatnam. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment across our facility, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in detailed technical records.
• Follow established safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment.
• Organize and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency repair requests.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and identify preventive maintenance opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
