General Milling Machine Operator

About the role

Auronix Tech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced General Milling Machine Operator to join its Production & Manufacturing team in Bengaluru. The role involves operating universal milling machines, performing welding and cutting tasks, and ensuring product quality on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate general‑purpose/universal milling machines according to engineering drawings and work orders.
• Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, fixtures, and machine settings for each job.
• Carry out welding, plasma cutting, and oxy‑fuel/gas cutting operations as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Inspect machined components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Identify defects, troubleshoot basic machine issues, and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain 5S, safety, quality, and production standards on the shop floor.
• Record production and quality data and meet daily output targets.

Required profile

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die, Fabrication, Welding, or a related trade.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience operating general/universal milling machines.
• Practical experience in welding, plasma cutting, and oxy‑fuel/gas cutting.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures.
• Strong commitment to machine and workplace safety.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor in shifts as needed.
• Punctual, reliable, and quality‑focused.
