General Manager – Plant & Operations

About the role

Pasondia Cables is expanding its production capacity and seeks an experienced General Manager to lead plant and operations in Ghaziabad. The role focuses on professionalising day‑to‑day manufacturing, ensuring ISO compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production, planning, maintenance, stores, dispatch, safety and workforce discipline.
• Implement ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, including SOPs, records, internal audits and corrective actions.
• Introduce and sustain 5S, Kaizen, visual management and continuous‑improvement systems.
• Establish full traceability from raw material receipt through production, testing, packing and dispatch.
• Prepare the plant for customer, certification, statutory and international audits.
• Improve productivity, machine availability, delivery performance, quality, scrap, rework and downtime.
• Set up daily dashboards, review meetings, escalation mechanisms and departmental accountability.
• Conduct regular training on ISO systems, safety, quality, 5S and operational discipline.
• Support capacity expansion, new machinery implementation and development of a professional manufacturing culture.
• Coordinate with Technical, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Commercial and HR teams.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the cable or conductor industry.
• At least five years in plant leadership or major manufacturing operations role.
• Hands‑on experience implementing ISO systems, 5S, Kaizen, traceability and audit readiness.
• Strong leadership, workforce‑management and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Ghaziabad.
