General Manager – Lending Program Management

About the role

Paytm is seeking a senior leader to own and expand its digital lending ecosystem. The General Manager will manage strategic partnerships with banks and NBFCs, oversee the end‑to‑end loan funnel, and drive new product initiatives to scale India’s largest lending platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture day‑to‑day and strategic relationships with banks, NBFCs and institutional lenders, acting as the primary business interface.
• Own the complete lending funnel—from sourcing and application to approval, disbursal and portfolio performance—tracking metrics such as leads, conversion rates, TAT and revenue.
• Identify and close funnel leakages, create dashboards and actionable insights to improve conversion and customer experience.
• Translate market and lender requirements into new loan products, pricing, underwriting models and distribution channels.
• Manage commercial terms, billing, reconciliation and unit‑economics for each partnership, ensuring accurate revenue tracking.
• Lead cross‑functional execution with product, technology, credit, risk, operations, finance, legal and compliance teams without direct reporting authority.

Required profile

• 6‑12 years of hands‑on experience in digital lending (consumer, MSME, merchant credit or co‑lending).
• Proven track record of managing bank/NBFC partnerships, loan funnels and negotiating commercial structures.
• Strong analytical mindset; comfortable using data dashboards to monitor conversion, TAT, unit economics and portfolio health.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to influence senior executives and cross‑functional leaders.
