General Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled General Maintenance Technician to join the ibis Nashik hotel team. You will ensure that all building systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently, providing a comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Install, service, and repair various air‑conditioning units (split, window, central, chillers).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Monitor AC performance, gas levels, compressors, and thermostats.
• Maintain and repair furniture, fixtures, and physical infrastructure.
• Clean and service filters, coils, ducts, and ventilation components.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Keep accurate service logs, inventory records, and coordinate with external contractors.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimise operational disruption.
• Participate in training to upgrade technical and HVAC skills.
• Suggest process improvements for efficiency and cost control.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent; trade certificate or at least 1 year of hands‑on maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
• Basic computer skills for using maintenance management systems.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various positions.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and respond to emergency calls.
