General Maintenance Technician – Hotel Facilities

About the role

The Grand Mercure Bangalore is seeking a reliable General Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of its hotel facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our 126 suite‑style rooms and public areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment and infrastructure.
• Install and set up new equipment as required.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to support seamless operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in preventive‑maintenance scheduling.

Required profile

• High school diploma or vocational certificate in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience as a general technician or in a similar role.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for varied maintenance tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work both independently and as part of a team.
