General Maintenance Technician (Fixed-Term)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Technician to join the facilities management team at Grand Mercure Mysore. You will be responsible for ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure operate smoothly, supporting the hotel’s daily operations and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of premises, building systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Install, service, and repair equipment and fixtures while ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain detailed service logs, spare‑parts inventory, and performance metrics.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for cost optimisation.
• Clean and service filters, coils, ducts, and ventilation components.
• Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and OSHA guidelines.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs when required.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimise operational disruption.
• Participate in training and professional development programmes.
