Full-time Cook – Skilled Nursing Facility

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Cook to join our skilled nursing facility’s dining team. The successful candidate will prepare nutritious meals safely and efficiently, supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the direction of the dining services manager.
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of meals following standardized recipes.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards and maintain timely food service at designated meal times.
• Label and date all items in refrigeration, freezer, and dry storage.
• Oversee proper food handling to prevent contamination, improve quality, and reduce costs.
• Suggest menu or recipe adjustments to utilize leftovers and supplies.
• Clean all food-service equipment, kitchen, and storage areas.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training.
• Knowledge of special diets.
