Full stack (Python) Developer - Software Engineer II

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a Software Engineer II to join its IDT team and build enterprise‑grade applications that drive innovation across the firm’s technology ecosystem. You will work on both backend and frontend components, creating secure APIs and modern web interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across backend and frontend layers.
• Build and support secure APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Translate UI/UX designs into functional features with React.js or Angular and TypeScript.
• Implement automated testing, code quality checks, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver features and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in full‑stack or backend software engineering.
• Proven experience building production APIs with Python (FastAPI or Flask).
• Hands‑on experience developing frontend applications using React.js or Angular with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases and caching technologies such as Redis.
• Exposure to AI‑assisted development tools is a plus.
