About the role

Barclays is looking for a Full Stack Developer to design, develop and improve software solutions that support its strategic objectives. You will work on a range of applications, from backend services to user‑facing interfaces, within a global, cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

Develop high‑quality, scalable microservices and REST APIs using Java, Spring and Spring Boot.
Build responsive front‑end components with React or Angular, leveraging JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.
Participate in code reviews, promote best practices and maintain code quality.
Implement unit, integration and automated functional tests to guarantee reliability.
Apply secure coding standards and performance tuning techniques.

Required profile

Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot and microservice architectures.
Proficiency in front‑end frameworks such as React or Angular.
Solid understanding of multithreading, design patterns, logging and debugging.
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and messaging systems (Kafka, Solace, MQ, JMS).
Familiarity with DevOps toolchains (GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD, Sonar) and cloud‑native deployments.
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment.
