Fuel Logistics Scheduler – Inventory & Dispatch Management

About the role

We are seeking a Fuel Logistics Scheduler to manage daily stock levels of petrol and diesel across retail outlets. The role ensures timely replenishment, prevents stock‑outs, and coordinates dispatches to meet demand while adhering to safety and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily fuel inventory at retail outlets and analyse consumption trends.
• Plan replenishment schedules, adjusting forecasts for seasonal demand, price changes and regional variations.
• Coordinate loading and delivery timelines with retail outlets, loading terminals and transport operations.
• Schedule tank‑truck dispatches, ensuring correct grade and quantity are delivered.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations (VRIP Guidelines) and company SOPs.
• Keep accurate inventory records and reconcile physical stock with system data.
• Prepare reports on inventory levels, losses/gains and key performance indicators.
• Minimise emergency supplies, demurrage and detention charges through proactive planning.
• Act as the central liaison between terminals, transport teams and retail outlets, communicating any delays or changes.
• Develop emergency stock plans and execute rapid rescheduling during disruptions.

Required profile

• Strong planning and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of fuel logistics, storage systems and inventory control principles.
• Ability to work under time‑critical conditions.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
