Frontend Developer – React, TypeScript, UI Engineering

About the role

IBM is seeking experienced Frontend Developers to join a core product development team building modern, scalable, and user‑centric web applications. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver high‑quality, accessible user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive, performant, and accessible interfaces using ReactJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Translate product requirements and UX designs into reusable UI components.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and ensure efficient data flows.
• Optimize performance, cross‑browser compatibility, and accessibility compliance.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and continuous improvement of frontend architecture.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Support modernization initiatives and adoption of emerging frontend technologies.

Required profile

• Master's degree (preferred).
• 7+ years of professional frontend development experience building production‑grade web applications.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and experience working in Agile product development environments.

Required skills

• ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• TypeScript and state‑management libraries (Redux or Context API).
• Component‑based architecture and reusable UI design patterns.
• RESTful API integration.
• Responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Git‑based workflows, CI/CD pipelines.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
