Front Office Assistant – Guest Services

About the role

The Front Office Assistant supports the hotel’s front desk team by delivering warm, professional service to guests throughout their stay. You will manage check‑in and check‑out, handle reservations, and respond to guest inquiries, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, create a professional first impression and manage smooth check‑in/check‑out processes.
• Handle room reservations, modifications, cancellations and prepare accurate billing.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, inquiries and complaints, coordinating with housekeeping, engineering and other departments.
• Process payments, maintain guest accounts and ensure confidentiality of guest data.
• Promote hotel facilities, loyalty programmes and special offers.
• Maintain a clean and presentable front‑desk area and follow SOPs, brand standards and safety procedures.
• Prepare daily reports and complete shift handovers.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
• 0–2 years of front‑office experience (freshers welcome).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Professional appearance and ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong problem‑solving, multitasking and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Familiarity with property management systems such as Opera or Fidelio.
