Front Desk Receptionist

About the role

Medcity International Academy is seeking a professional Front Desk Receptionist for its Kochi centre. You will be the first point of contact for students, visitors, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls with courteous phone etiquette.
• Handle student registrations, maintain visitor logs, and update records.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate meeting rooms, and support administrative tasks.
• Liaise with trainers and staff to facilitate smooth daily operations.
• Perform basic clerical duties such as document handling and data entry.

Required profile

• Proven experience in receptionist or front‑desk roles.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Professional appearance, reliability, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, learner‑centric environment.
• Minimum high school diploma; a degree or certificate in administration is preferred.
• Prior experience in an educational or training institution is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic computer literacy for email, spreadsheets, and office software.
• Effective phone system operation and data entry capabilities.
