About the role
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This role combines customer service with basic administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the office.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors and clients in a professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Manage appointments, meetings, and bookings.
- Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes as needed.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and deliveries.
- Provide basic information about the organization’s services or departments.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Coordinate with other departments when required.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints professionally.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma/degree in business administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or front‑desk officer preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑service orientation.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective use of email and standard office equipment (phone system, printer, scanner).
- Basic computer literacy.
