Founding Software Engineer (India)

About the role

Optexity is a product‑driven research lab building clinical reasoning and search tools for hospitals and clinics. As a Founding Software Engineer you will join a small, fast‑moving team to create large‑scale semantic search and chat systems that help doctors access information quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement large‑scale search systems on proprietary clinical data.
• Build semantic search capabilities for unstructured medical documents.
• Develop customer‑facing products and own end‑to‑end product design.
• Take open‑ended problems from concept to working model with minimal predefined structure.
• Document findings in technical reports and research papers.

Required profile

• At least two years of experience deploying production systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Comfortable working on ambiguous, open‑ended problems.
• Self‑starter who takes ownership without needing constant guidance.
• Motivated to work in a startup environment rather than large tech companies.
