Formwork Manager

About the role

The Formwork Manager will lead the planning, design coordination, execution, monitoring and optimisation of all formwork and falsework activities for an elevated metro viaduct project. This role ensures safe, efficient and on‑time delivery while meeting quality and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive formwork strategy for all structural elements of the metro viaduct.
• Create deployment plans aligned with project schedules and construction sequences.
• Manage utilisation, movement and optimisation of formwork systems across multiple work fronts.
• Ensure timely availability of formwork materials and accessories.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering and precast teams to maintain uninterrupted execution.
• Review and approve formwork drawings, falsework layouts and erection methodologies.
• Validate compliance of formwork systems with design loads, specifications and stability calculations.
• Resolve technical issues in collaboration with design consultants and engineering teams.
• Oversee formwork for pile caps, foundations, piers, caps, crossheads, portal piers, girder bearing pedestals, deck slabs, station structures and miscellaneous RCC works.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing formwork and falsework for large‑scale reinforced concrete projects.
• Strong understanding of structural loads, stability analysis and load transfer mechanisms.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple work fronts.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with a focus on safety and quality.
