Forklift Operator

About the role

Saab is expanding its manufacturing footprint in India and is looking for a reliable Forklift Operator to support safe and efficient warehouse and production operations at its Jhajjar facility. You will operate electric forklifts to move raw materials, components, and finished goods across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload, lift, stack, and transport pallets and other materials between storage, production, and dispatch areas.
• Conduct daily pre‑use inspections of the forklift, checking brakes, tyres, forks, steering, batteries and safety devices.
• Follow approved battery charging and handling procedures.
• Adhere to all workplace safety rules, traffic routes, speed limits and PPE requirements.
• Report equipment defects, accidents, near‑misses or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of forklift inspections, material movements and maintenance activities.
• Keep the forklift and surrounding work area clean, organized and free of obstructions.
• Assist with external inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Required profile

• Completed 12th Standard (Higher Secondary Education).
• Minimum age of 25 years.
• Valid Indian Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) D licence.
