Foreman - Quality Control - Site (Civil)

About the role

The Foreman – Quality Control – Site (Civil) oversees quality‑related activities on construction sites, ensuring that all civil works meet the required standards and safety regulations. Working closely with the QA/QC Engineer, the foreman conducts daily inspections and monitors workmanship across all phases of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the QA/QC Engineer in implementing the site quality assurance plan.
• Perform daily inspections of excavation, shuttering, reinforcement placement, concreting, and curing activities.
• Monitor fieldwork to verify that tolerances, levels, and dimensions conform to approved drawings and method statements.
• Check that all delivered construction materials are approved, segregate non‑conforming items, and report issues.
• Supervise surface preparation, compaction, levelling, and alignment during earthworks and subgrade preparation.
• Oversee rebar fixing, formwork erection, and concrete pouring, ensuring compliance with bar‑bending schedules, cover blocks, and vibration procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in civil construction site activities.
• Ability to monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with drawings, method statements, and quality procedures.
• Capability to conduct basic material tests and report non‑conformities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and quality control processes on construction sites.
