Foreman - Formwork - Site

About the role

The Foreman – Formwork – Site leads the daily formwork operations on construction sites, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. This position coordinates the labour force, manages material handling, and works closely with site engineers to meet project targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all formwork activities, including shuttering, centering, staging, and de‑shuttering of structural elements.
• Interpret formwork drawings and verify that erection meets dimensional accuracy, plumb, level, and alignment.
• Allocate daily tasks to the formwork team, monitoring labour productivity and material utilization.
• Inspect scaffolding, supports, bracings, and joints for safety and stability before concrete placement.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and reuse of formwork materials to minimise waste.
• Coordinate with site engineers and other trade foremen to plan work fronts and avoid interface conflicts.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising formwork operations on construction sites.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and construction drawings.
• Ability to lead a labour team and manage daily work schedules.
• Good communication skills for coordination with engineers and other foremen.
