Food and Beverage Captain

About the role

Aauris is seeking a motivated Food and Beverage Captain to join its hospitality team in Kolkata. You will be the face of the restaurant, ensuring guests receive prompt, courteous, and accurate service while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, and take food and beverage orders.
• Serve dishes and drinks promptly and accurately.
• Set up and clear tables, keep the service area tidy, and follow hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Handle guest queries, address concerns, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff.
• Process payments and maintain accurate billing.
• Support teammates during busy periods and uphold Aauris service standards.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and food service abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of menu items, serving techniques, and hygiene practices.
• Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or cafés is a plus; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic numeracy for handling bills and following standard operating procedures.
• Minimum high school education; hospitality training or certification is an advantage.
