Flow Controller

About the role

The Flow Controller ensures that material availability aligns with production demand by managing MRP processes, procurement, and supplier interactions. The role combines planning, inventory control, and logistics coordination to guarantee timely stock delivery at the right locations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute MRP runs in the ERP system to balance resource and demand.
• Generate purchase requisitions and convert them to purchase orders through automated batch jobs.
• Monitor and resolve MRP exceptions, working closely with suppliers to expedite deliveries.
• Handle customer request workflows and define default transportation modes using Air/Sea tools.
• Record purchase order acknowledgements, advance shipping notifications, and manage invoice discrepancies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and participate in electronic component buying processes.
• Forecast material availability, release production orders, and drive inventory‑control initiatives.
• Maintain vendor relationships, review purchase requests, and provide status reports to management.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of warehouse stock levels and non‑moving inventory.

Required profile

• Strong digital mindset with experience in supply‑chain planning tools.
• Proven ability to manage procurement cycles and vendor partnerships.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess stock levels and take corrective actions.
• Experience preparing and presenting status reports to senior management.

• SAP (ERP) knowledge.
• Kinaxis demand‑planning platform.
• MRP execution and demand‑vs‑resource balancing.
• Procurement and inventory‑management processes.
• Understanding of transportation mode selection tools.
