Flight Physics Engineer – Aerodynamics

About the role

Join Airbus' Flight Physics Capabilities team in Bangalore to design, develop, and validate advanced aerodynamics methods and tools. You will work on aerodata for vehicle design and ensure seamless multidisciplinary integration across the aircraft architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business context, design solutions and document them for stakeholders.
• Develop, test and verify aerodynamics tools and features, ensuring compliance with software quality standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies in complex, heterogeneous project environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, fostering a strong team spirit.
• Support implementation of solutions and provide V&V activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset, creativity and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate fluently in English.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics and Numerical Methods.
• Knowledge of geometric modelling, analytical geometry and linear algebra.
• Familiarity with requirements specifications and systems engineering.
• Exposure to C/C++, JavaScript, reduced‑order modelling, high‑performance computing, cloud‑based programming, AI/ML.
• Understanding of Agile and SAFe ways of working.
