Fitter / Rigger – Mechanical Installation & Maintenance

About the role

The Fitter / Rigger will join KIC Metaliks Limited’s Durgapur plant to support the installation, alignment, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment across the facility. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that all plant machinery operates safely and efficiently, meeting the company’s high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install and secure mechanical components and structures according to engineering specifications.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot faults and carry out corrective repairs on equipment.
• Align and calibrate machinery to guarantee optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Execute rigging operations using appropriate tools and safety procedures for heavy‑load handling.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics to guide installation and maintenance work.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any safety or quality concerns.

Required profile

• Technical certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in fitting or rigging within a manufacturing or metal‑working environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and ability to apply safe work practices consistently.
• Physical stamina to work in outdoor and industrial settings.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
