First Class Boiler Attendant

About the role

The Plant Engineering department is seeking a dedicated Boiler Attendant to manage and operate a large AFBC boiler system and, optionally, a back‑pressure turbine. The role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations while supporting maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily trends and parameters of the boiler (and turbine, if applicable) through PLC/DCS systems.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance for a boiler area exceeding 1,000 m².
• Supervise overhauling of boiler equipment in collaboration with operators and service providers.
• Manage coal handling and ash handling systems operated by contract workers, including ash disposal coordination with the EMD team.
• Support boiler operators in troubleshooting and ensure compliance with safety interlocks.
• Report spares availability and coal stock levels to the Senior Executive.
• Maintain plant housekeeping standards and basic computer documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or B.E.) with a valid BOE certificate.
• Age preferably not more than 28 years, can extend up to 40 years.
• Hands‑on experience with AFBC boiler operation and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
