Fire Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Fire Officer to join our engineering & facilities team at a leading hotel in Faridabad. The role ensures the safety and reliability of fire protection systems and supports overall guest service through proactive maintenance and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on fire protection tools, appliances and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges and meters; locate and operate shut‑off valves.
• Manage inventory, order parts and maintain purchase order logs.
• Conduct life‑safety checklists, fire‑pump and generator run tests, and inspect fire‑sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Assist in developing disaster‑response protocols and respond to guest repair requests.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Follow all safety policies, report hazards and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant fire‑safety or facilities maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work on‑site in a hotel environment and handle physical tasks.

Required skills

• Preventative maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Calibration of gauges, meters and control devices.
• Inventory and parts management.
• Operation of power lifts and other maintenance equipment.
• Fire‑pump, generator and fire‑sprinkler testing.
• Alarm system inspection.
• Development of disaster‑response procedures.
