Fire Executive – Fire Station Operations

About the role

The Fire Executive is responsible for controlling the fire station and executing all related operations. This includes managing the availability of emergency vehicles and fire equipment, supporting incident command, and ensuring compliance with fire safety policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Execute incident command and control techniques for emergency mitigation and actively participate in firefighting and rescue operations.
• Perform regular inspection, testing and maintenance (ITM) of all firefighting equipment and systems, reporting any discrepancies.
• Track and manage the availability and reliability of firefighting vehicles, equipment, and communication systems across all stations.
• Support investigations of fire incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
• Conduct daily fire drills and emergency response activities to ensure readiness.
• Maintain log books, occurrence books and shift documentation to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (science stream preferred) and a valid fireman certification.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience in fire safety or emergency services.

Required skills

• Fire safety management and incident command.
• Operation of firefighting equipment, including fire vehicle pump systems.
• Heavy‑vehicle driving and maintenance.
• Inspection, testing and maintenance of firefighting systems.
• Mock‑drill planning and compliance.
