Financial Planning & Analyst (FP&A)

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analyst (FP&A) will support the organization by analysing financial statements, forecasting future performance, and maintaining the financial plan. The role works closely with accounting and business teams to ensure accurate reporting and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking.
• Prepare, review and update financial plans and capital expense requisitions.
• Analyse periodic results (revenue, margins, overheads, spread) and conduct variance analysis.
• Create financial models to support strategic decisions and leadership reviews.
• Evaluate financial performance against plans and forecasts, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Conduct cost, price‑cost and spread analysis, market and product specific analysis.
• Assess foreign‑exchange impact, work‑capital studies and cash‑flow analysis.
• Support make‑or‑buy decisions and internal sourcing feasibility studies.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant, MBA Finance or equivalent with a strong FP&A focus.
• Good academic record (minimum 60% overall).
• 3‑7 years of business finance or related experience.
• Proficiency in financial modelling techniques.
• Exposure to ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Strong fluency with Microsoft Excel formulas and functions; proficient in MS Office.
• Proactive communication skills and ability to anticipate issues.
