Financial Controller – Lead GCC Finance Function

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead the finance and accounting function for a rapidly growing GCC operation of a US‑based multinational. Reporting to the CFO, you will partner with global stakeholders and service providers to ensure robust financial governance, operational excellence and strategic business support.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial planning, performance reporting and governance for the GCC.
• Analyse financial trends, variances and business performance, recommending corrective actions.
• Provide financial guidance for strategic projects, expansion plans and key business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation, audits and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee cash‑flow, banking, treasury and foreign‑exchange activities.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to management and global stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with US counterparts, GCC leadership and other key stakeholders.
• Establish service delivery standards and monitor SLA compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, policies, controls and operating practices.
• Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation measures.
• Develop operational metrics and provide visibility into India/GCC performance.
• Support organisation‑wide strategic and transformation initiatives beyond Finance.
• Build, develop and retain a high‑performing finance team, setting performance goals and fostering employee engagement.

Required profile

• 18+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years in senior finance leadership roles.
• CA or MBA with Finance specialization from a reputed institution.
• Experience in multinational, captive/GCC or offshore delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards, IFRS, SOX and Indian tax regulations.
• Proven success in business transformation, process improvement and quality initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop and retain talent in a GCC/GIC setting.
