Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the finance and accounting function for a multi‑entity organization, driving strategic financial planning, process migration and compliance across several geographies. This hybrid position (on‑site Monday, Wednesday and Friday) requires a hands‑on leader who can translate complex financial data into actionable insights for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end transition of finance processes from client entities to the Global Capability Center, including mapping, gap analysis and SOP creation.
• Design and implement accounting and reporting frameworks aligned with group policies and local statutory requirements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and build financial models and dashboards for business decision‑making.
• Manage month‑end close, intercompany transactions, consolidation, bank reconciliations, vendor payments and client collections.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and local regulations; coordinate audits and tax filings across the US, NZ, AU and EU.
• Develop and maintain strong internal control frameworks and monitor data integrity and audit readiness.

Required profile

• 17‑18+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the IT services sector.
• Proven track record in end‑to‑end accounting, FP&A and multi‑country financial operations.
• Deep understanding of IFRS, US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience managing large, cross‑border finance teams and external auditors.
