Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will support the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, risk monitoring, and audit coordination. This role offers exposure to both controllership and risk management functions within a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monthly and annual financial closing and preparation of consolidated financial statements as per Ind AS.
• Review general ledger, books of accounts and conduct cost analysis for optimisation.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve open items.
• Prepare MIS and reports for audit committee, Board and investors.
• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors to ensure timely audit closure.
• Perform periodic testing and documentation of internal controls, drive improvement initiatives and coordinate corrective actions.
• Track and update the enterprise risk register across business functions, monitor mitigation plans and prepare risk reports.
• Participate in finance transformation and scale‑up initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and basic taxation.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Understanding of SOX‑like controls, IFC or process documentation.
