Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to safeguard and scale our fast‑growing treasury as BiteSpeed expands from $10M to $50M ARR. The role will own end‑to‑end controllership and day‑to‑day finance operations, partnering closely with the CEO, leadership team, auditors, banks and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end controllership and financial operations, including accounting, vendor payments, refunds, collections and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely vendor payouts and accurate invoicing.
• Drive cash‑flow management, forecasting, burn monitoring and working‑capital optimisation.
• Partner with leaders on cost‑optimisation initiatives, vendor negotiations and spend reviews.
• Oversee salary processing and payroll in collaboration with an outsourced payroll partner.
• Ensure statutory compliance for GST, PF and PT, reviewing outsourced work and filing on time.
• Maintain banking relationships, handle account operations and coordinate with lenders or financial partners.
• Lead audit management, coordinating with a Big 4 audit firm for statutory, internal and external audits.
• Act as a stakeholder manager with internal teams, auditors, banks, investors and external consultants.
