Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead our finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic insight. You will work directly with the founders to build scalable processes that support rapid growth in the medical device sector.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily accounting operations, bookkeeping, and financial record‑keeping.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management information systems.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory regulations.
• Lead audits and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Oversee vendor payments, invoicing, reimbursements, and payroll coordination.
• Analyze financial data to provide actionable business insights.
• Design and implement financial controls, SOPs, and reporting processes.
• Partner with founders on budgeting, cost optimisation, and strategic planning.
• Collaborate across teams to align financial and operational activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• CA, CMA or MBA in Finance preferred.
• 4–5 years of experience in finance, accounting or financial control roles.
• Experience in a startup or medical‑device environment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and financial compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
