Financial Controller

About the role

BrightCHAMPS is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Financial Controller to join its Finance & Controllership team. The role will strengthen financial reporting, statutory compliance, and internal controls as the company scales across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements on schedule.
• Consolidate group financials across entities, ensuring alignment with group accounting policies.
• Review ledgers, journal entries and supporting documentation; perform account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Act as primary liaison for statutory, internal and tax auditors; coordinate data requests and resolve audit queries.
• Monitor compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST and other regulations; maintain audit schedules and documentation.
• Assist with timely filing of GST, TDS and Income Tax returns and support tax audit processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, Companies Act, GST, Income Tax regulations.
• Experience in financial statement preparation and consolidation across multiple entities.
• Proven ability to manage audit processes and interact with external auditors.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
