Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring robust financial governance, accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, statutory and regulatory compliance, and seamless accounting operations for a SaaS‑based subsidiary in Coimbatore. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance team and coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with auditors, consultants, and business heads.
• Oversee preparation and submission of statutory filings, GST, direct tax returns, and labour law compliance.
• Maintain and enhance SOPs, processes, policies, and internal control frameworks.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with Indian Accounting Standards.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Integrate technology and AI tools to improve finance efficiency.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 10+ years of experience, including exposure to a listed company and a start‑up environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and articulation skills.
• Business acumen in a SaaS service offering context.
• Deep understanding of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, direct taxes and labour laws.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and related reporting requirements.
• Expertise in GST, direct tax and statutory compliance.
• Familiarity with SaaS financial models and technology‑driven finance processes.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining SOPs, policies and internal controls.
