Financial Controller

About the role

TrueFoundry is building its finance function from the ground up and needs a Financial Controller to serve as the operational backbone. You will work directly with the Director of Finance and the founding team to establish financial infrastructure, processes, and controls that will support the company through its Series B and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end monthly close for both India and US entities with zero surprises.
• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed‑asset register across both entities.
• Ensure full compliance with Ind AS for the India entity and US GAAP for the US entity.
• Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting between Ensemble Labs Inc (US) and Ensemble Labs Private Limited (India).
• Prepare audit‑ready financial statements and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.
• Implement and optimise an ERP system to support finance operations.
• Develop and document finance processes, controls, and policies from scratch.

Required profile

• Proven experience building finance processes at a fast‑moving startup.
• Hands‑on experience implementing ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑border compliance between India and the United States.
• Track record of closing books cleanly each month, even in high‑growth environments.
• Strong systems‑thinking mindset combined with execution focus.
