Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join the IMO PC team, which is responsible for producing daily and monthly profit & loss statements and balance sheets. The role involves ensuring data accuracy, providing insightful commentary on market drivers, and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform T0 vs T1 checks and reconcile source data to the ledger, resolving any breaks.
• Provide P&L commentary for mark‑to‑market results, including analysis of market drivers.
• Review RSBPL scallops and ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain and attest internal control tools, preserving appropriate evidence.
• Manage ad‑hoc queries from stakeholders such as the front office, COO, and product controllers.
• Deliver daily balance‑sheet commentary based on business drivers.
• Close books during month‑end, clear breaks, post journals, and comment on material P&L movements.
• Perform balance‑sheet substantiation in line with UBS guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, month‑end close, and balance‑sheet substantiation.
• Ability to conduct detailed reconciliations and resolve data breaks.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and evidence‑attestation processes.
