Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will act as the strategic financial leader for the upcoming Gateway Hotel in Udupi, Manipal. Reporting to the Executive Committee, the role drives financial planning, analysis, and control to support the brand’s service strategy and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning and decision‑making for the property.
• Develop and execute profit‑improvement initiatives, including cost‑benefit analysis and new business opportunities.
• Prepare, monitor, and adjust annual operating budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze actual sales, expenses, and wage costs against projections to identify variances.
• Provide analytical support during budget reviews to uncover cost‑saving and productivity opportunities.
• Implement and maintain robust accounting and operational controls to safeguard assets.
• Produce accurate financial forecasts and monitor market trends to inform operational decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial leadership within a hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ability to develop and execute comprehensive business plans aligned with strategic objectives.
• Experience implementing control systems and managing financial risks.
