Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will safeguard and scale BiteSpeed’s fast‑growing treasury as the company targets growth from $10M to $50M ARR. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the leadership team, auditors, banks and external partners, this hands‑on role involves deep involvement in numbers, processes and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end controllership and daily finance operations, including accounting, vendor payments, refunds, collections and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely vendor payouts, accurate invoicing and efficient cash collections.
• Drive cash‑flow management, forecasting, burn monitoring and working‑capital optimisation.
• Partner with leadership on cost‑optimisation initiatives, vendor negotiations and spend reviews.
• Oversee salary processing and payroll in collaboration with an outsourced payroll partner.
• Ensure statutory compliance for GST, PF, PT and validate work of outsourced teams for timely filings.
• Maintain banking relationships, handle account operations, documentation and coordination with lenders or financial partners.
• Lead audit management, coordinating with a Big 4 audit firm for statutory, internal and external audits.
• Act as a key stakeholder manager with internal teams, auditors, banks, investors and external consultants.

Required profile

• 4 to 9 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or controllership.
• Strong hands‑on approach with ability to dive deep into numbers, processes and compliance.
• Experience working closely with CEOs, leadership teams, auditors, banks and external partners.
• Proven track record of managing end‑to‑end accounting, cash‑flow, statutory compliance and audit coordination.
