Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead finance operations for a fast‑growing QSR and consumer brand business. You will own end‑to‑end financial reporting, cash management, budgeting and compliance while partnering closely with founders and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Drive monthly close, consolidate P&L, create store‑wise performance dashboards and working‑capital summaries.
• Prepare MIS packs for founders and Board with clear variance commentary and lead quarterly/annual financial reviews.
• Manage statutory, internal and external audits and ensure timely completion.
• Handle investor reporting, due‑diligence support, cap‑table maintenance and compliance with SHA obligations.
• Oversee day‑to‑day cash flow, vendor payments, banking relationships, working‑capital facilities and 13‑week cash‑flow forecasts.
• Lead annual budgeting, maintain a 3‑year financial model and benchmark store‑level performance against budget.
• Mentor the finance team, plan hiring aligned to store expansion and drive ERP/tech upgrades.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–12 years post‑qualification experience.
• Hands‑on experience in F&B, QSR, retail or consumer brands at a scaling company.
• Strong grasp of unit economics (food cost %, labour cost %, EBITDA per store).
• Proven ability to manage statutory compliance, audits and regulatory filings independently.
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels.

Required skills

• Tally (or equivalent) and Zoho Books.
• ERP implementation or migration experience.
• Financial modeling and cash‑flow forecasting.
• MIS reporting and dashboard creation.
• Audit management and statutory compliance (ROC, GST, TDS, PF, PT, FSSAI).
• Cap‑table management and debt structuring.
• Banking relationship management.
