Financial Controller – India

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead finance and accounting activities for its India operations. This senior position will ensure compliance, robust controls, and accurate reporting while supporting strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with finance and business partners to drive strategic initiatives and financial objectives.
• Lead the month‑end close and reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Thermo Fisher policies, local and US accounting standards, and tax regulations.
• Analyze internal financial data to identify issues, opportunities, and trends, providing insights on project profitability, efficiency, and ROI.
• Develop and maintain a strong control environment to safeguard assets and ensure integrity of financial records.
• Monitor cash flow, maintain sufficient liquidity, and drive working‑capital improvements.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the finance team, fostering a culture of execution and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of finance or accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a financial leadership role.
• Experience leading large teams is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
