Financial Controller – Ind AS & ECL Expertise

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial control, reporting, compliance and governance for our financial services firm. The role focuses on Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provisioning, audits and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and oversee general ledger, reconciliations and close processes.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS requirements, review complex transaction accounting and coordinate with auditors on implementation.
• Develop, review and monitor ECL models, compute provisions per Ind AS 109 and present trends and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead statutory, internal, tax and regulatory audits, close observations promptly and strengthen internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, board presentations and financial dashboards.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance and accounting team, driving process improvement and automation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and financial regulations.
• Experience with RBI regulations and financial‑services compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to present financial results and provisioning analysis to senior leadership and auditors.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
