Financial Controller – FX & Equity Derivatives

About the role

UBS is seeking a Financial Controller to join its FX, Equity Derivatives, Cash Equities and SLF teams in Pune. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate daily P&L and balance‑sheet reporting, supporting global trading desks, and driving continuous improvement of financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting knowledge of various financial products throughout their lifecycle.
• Implement and govern accounting controls, reviewing daily P&L and balance‑sheet items.
• Compile and analyse financial data for FX, Equity Derivatives, Cash Equities and SLF products.
• Reconcile trade‑capture system feeds to the general ledger and manage journal entries.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Support month‑end close, trial‑balance substantiation and balance‑sheet production.
• Collaborate with internal testing teams, auditors and global product‑control groups.
• Drive automation and agile improvements using emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Master’s degree or equivalent in accounting or related field.
• Proven experience in product control, financial reporting and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
• Digital mindset with curiosity for AI and automation tools.
