Financial Controller – Finance Strategy & Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a high-performance footwear brand focused on the Indian market. Reporting to the CFO, you will shape the company’s financial strategy, ensure robust reporting and drive cost-effective operations across manufacturing, logistics and direct-to-consumer channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long-term financial strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, management information systems (MIS) and cash-flow management.
• Manage working capital efficiently across manufacturing, logistics and D2C operations.
• Own import-export compliance, documentation and financial regulations, including DGFT, customs and duties.
• Supervise procurement payments, vendor financing, inventory costing, landed-cost calculations and pricing strategy.
• Implement internal controls, risk-management and cost-optimization frameworks.
• Support fundraising activities, maintain banking relationships, prepare investor reports and coordinate audits.
• Ensure compliance with direct and indirect taxes (GST, TDS, income tax), corporate law and statutory filings.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Proven experience in financial planning, reporting and compliance within a manufacturing or D2C environment.
